MINI Cooper S R53 Intercooler Degrease

As part of my engine rebuild I'm cleaning up every part that's come off the car before it goes back on. Tonight was the turn of the MINI Cooper S R53 stock intercooler. It's amazing and disgusting just how much gunk comes out of it! First I soaked in Gunk Ultra and rubbed down with a brass toothbrush. Many of the fins are already quite bent, looking at images of others this appears quite common and I will make some attempt to straighten those up. I then washed in warm soapy water and then rinsed thoroughly with clean water.
